Jim Jones, Rick Ross & Juelz Santana React To Lil Wayne's Guilty Plea, "That's Some Bullsh*t!!!!"
Rick Ross, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana have been the first to share their reactions to Lil Wayne's guilty plea and offered their views on his prospected one-year jail sentence.
Jones shared his reaction by comparing Wayne to incarcerated rapper T.I.
"Thts crazy lil Wayne gets a year for a hand pistol and ti gets the same tome for having army issued rifles wit silencers U tell me wtf," Jones wrote Thursday afternoon via Twitter. (Jim Jones' Twitter)
Santana also disagreed with Weezy's plea deal.
"A! I just arrived 2 the set. Just did a MTV News interview wit Shaheem about Lil Wayne. That's some BULL SH*T!!!!," Santana wrote on Twitter hours after reports of Wayne's guilty plea made headlines. (Juelz Santana's Twitter)
Ross said he felt the Young Money leader could overcome the jail stint.
"It hurt us," Rick Ross said. "We strategize and work towards this for so long, [and] when something like that, a major inconvenience such as that, nine people out of 10, that stint could hurt them. But I think Wayne has a unique situation with his Cash Money family and now his Young Money roster, I know they got a lot of things poppin'. Wayne's got enough music. He's one of the few artists I feel could eat those 10 months up, or that year, and then come home to rap royalty. If anybody is gonna be able to do it, it's gonna be Wayne." (MTV)
GaTa, who is an associate of Young Money's Tyga, discussed his reaction to the reports.
"Thankful I Got the Opportunity to work and make some Amazing Songs with #LilWayne before he got that Jail Term-No Man Is Unstoppable!" (GaTa's Twitter)
Wayne's plea was confirmed Thursday (October 22) morning.
Lil Wayne has pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession, and expects to receive a one-year jail sentence. He previously had pleaded not guilty to illegal gun possession charges that carried at least 3 1/2 years in prison upon conviction. His trial had been due to start Jan. 20. (Associated Press)
Lil Wayne is scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday, January 20th.

LIL WAYNE GOING TO JAIL
Lil Wayne has pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession, and expects to receive a one-year jail sentence. He previously had pleaded not guilty to illegal gun possession charges that carried at least 3 1/2 years in prison upon conviction. His trial had been due to start Jan. 20. (Associated Press)
According to a source, Weezy was expected to make his plea deal today.
Lil Wayne will be forced to plead out to a jail term in New York City on Thursday, according to sources. "Wayne is going to plead guilty," a source close to the case revealed, stressing that this was definitely going to happen. The rapper pleaded not guilty at press time and has yet to make any such public declaration. "The date is coming up and he's going to do it tomorrow. If he doesn't plead, he goes to jail for a long time...They told him that if he doesn't plead tomorrow, it will go to trial and then he faces a far longer jail term." (All Hip Hop)
Lil Wayne reportedly hired a former FBI geneticist to help him in his New York felony gun case and prove his innocence over the summer.
Lil Wayne is hoping Bruce Budowle will get him off the hook for the .40-caliber semiautomatic cops grabbed from his tour bus near Columbus Circle two years ago.Wayne has hired him in hopes of challenging the DNA test that matched him to cells swabbed off the gun. Budowle is set to argue that, with too few cells to test conventionally, Manhattan prosecutors relied instead on a problematic test called low copy number typing, according to court papers. (The New York Post)
A New York judge previously decided to re-open a hearing concerning the weapon found on Weezy's tour bus in 2007 after learning of an alleged conversation he had with a police officer.
Wayne appeared before a Manhattan Superior Court Judge for his gun-possession charge stemming from a 2007 arrest, but did not speak as his lawyer filed a motion for additional discovery that will see the arresting officer called into court. His legal team and the state's attorney met with the judge in private last week and it was determined the hearing of the original witnesses would be reopened. (MTV)

WHY ARE SOME ARTIST MORE SORT AFTER THAN OTHER
WHY ARE SOME ARTIST MORE SORT AFTER THAN OTHER
These are personal opinions of the writer. It does not represent anyone or group.
When you talk of artist categorization we mean what endorsers and big companies put into consideration before putting you as a headliner in there concerts and shows. I’m talking about companies like Nigerian breweries, MTN, GLO etc.
In the Nigerian entertainment industry, we have the class A, (dbanj, psquare, 2face, Olu maintain, 9ice and MI) class B, (Timaya, Banky w, eLDee, terry g, Wande coal, Kel, Bracket, Neato c, Face, Kelly handsome,) and Class C. (Earthquake, debee collabo, jahbless, jaywon) and Class D. Wanna b’s.demo pushers, one time air plays.
How does it work?
Class A. This is what we call the premium artist. These are the hot and current artist at each particular time. Now! There is something amazing about this category. It can only take about 5 artists at a time. 2 years ago it used to house dbanj, weird mc, psqaure, face and 2face. Now we currently have the top drawers as Dbanj, MI, Bracket (thanks to yori yori), psqaure. Last year had dbanj, psqaure, 2face, olu maintain and 9ice (thanks to gongo aso). The fascinating thing is that only dbanj and square have been in it for 3 years in a row and if you want to know why buy the last CD’s. I can’t say much about Psqaure latest EFFORT (danger). So ladies and gentlemen its not luck its pure talent or more like your last effort. Wande coal actually smelt this category some months back, but that is when personality comes in. Talent can get you to the top. But other traits and stunts actually keep you at the top.Kim kardasian is the new paris Hilton. Ha ha ha. How about that.
Class B. These are artist that have tasted class a before or as good as getting there. Now this is the toughest group to break out from. Many of the top guys have fallen here one time or another. Olu maintain is currently here, 9ice will be here by December except he drops a major shaker, Banky w has been residing here and he is getting tired of leaving here, he want to move to class A, 2face has been here too. Neato c is here also. Due to the fact that the premium category can only house about 5 artists at a time. The other 10 to 20 artist in this group are really the engine of our industry. Sometimes the artist in this group make more cheddar than some class A act, that will now depend one there personality and swagga. E.g. Bank w. very marketable and likable by the corporate world. (don’t know why?)If these guys can just do an original hit, he will dust Dbanj. Darey art alade is long over due to be in category A. but he has never been let in talk less of residing there.
Class C. These are artist that are equally good but have not been able to get the big break. Although it’s possible to leap from here to class a. 9ice jump from this class to class A thanks to Gongo aso. Even Timaya was once here. We have cats like zdone popparella, segun agbede, hman, eddy remedy, dr fresh, Dagrin. This guys get some shows but really they don’t get asked for its there team that squeeze in there names on artist performing. Many of them are really talented but I guess there time to shine is going to come or may never.
To be continued next week.

SWAGGA! What really is swagger per say
SWAGGA! What really is swagger per say
Recently Sauce kid blasted Terry G and Jessie Jags over the usage of swagger and labeling them all sorts. Before we go further let us define what we personally see as swagger.
Swagger is style, carriage, self confidence mixed with attitude in your walk and moves. In the American hip hop game we can name a few swagger havers as (Lil Wayne, Kanye west, The Game, Camron). I wont call Jay z a swagger haver even though im a big big fan. 50 cent neither. It has more to do with admiration for style than liking your music or rap. Its generality attitudinal. It’s a whole lot on carriage. Take for example that your cool friend that always gets noticed for great dress sense in high school or college. Not because he had money or was handsome or beautiful. But just made their style theirs for keeps.
Back home in Nigeria a lot of artists are all shouting, screaming swagger. With all due respect, I have no disregard for any artist but the term swagger has been over flogged buy cats that ordinarily should not mention it. Every genre has its own natural swaggaits. The thing is that they get it done effortlessly while we all work so so had to be cool, but these cats are natural.
Terry G, KCpresh, jessy jags and all these rest have a right to the usage of the term swagger. It’s left to the discerning public to agree or not. Nobody has the right to say otherwise. Even ‘babasala’ has a right to claim swagger. So u gets my drift! Tip me?
To go straight to what we writing about. I will mention my 5(five) top swagger havers in the game. My criteria for selecting these cats are as follows ease of style, carriage/walk, easy to like, self confidence and attitude. Please be aware that it has nothing to do with talent or music. I will tell you why later. Here are my lists of Top 5 swaggiths in no particular order.
Neato C
The kini big dealer has a natural carriage, very likable and stylish in hip hop. However I do not find his mentor Jayz swaggarish. We are not going to talk about music just style. He does his stuff effortlessly. What’s up with world famous academy?
Sauce Kid
This is my swagger emperor. Not just for using the word. Meet him outside the music environs you will get it. Again not talking about music, try watching him in Knight House musical (won beri). He’s got a cool swagger.
MI
Mister Incredible has a very intelligent and cool disposition to everything. Met him 2 years ago at a concert slightly before he blew and I was taken. Brother has swagger in some form.
DaGrin
This brother is what 50cent is to the niaja ghetto. Watch his musical with YQ. He has a very gansterish I don’t give a f*c*) attitude. Dagrin if well packaged and adviced could be the coolest on this side of the tide.
Kel/Mo’chedda
We had to put these two as joint 5th runners not because they are ladies, but because we could not come to conclusion on who to select to they both got a joint ticket.
Kel has done her research on what makes one likable and personable. She is of the few femce’s out there that actually planned out how to come out. Don’t know but her team is surely working. Great moves.
Mo’chedda. I haven’t seen or even heard any solo performance by this chick. But after wachting her video with sourcekid and seeing her at a few events. I make bold to say she has style. Just like I said b4. Its all about style and personality we are talking about not music.
Bonus addition
Now these cats here are up next if there was space. But somebody will have to be dropped for them to enter.
Durrella, Banky w, dbanj, seantero, Sasha, eldee, modenine, terry da rapman
These guys have talent, can sing and perform, but swagger are not pronounced.
Missing swagger
9ice, wande coal, olu maintain, faze.
